Well, I have been trying to decide if I should tell you about this week. And I decided you deserve to know what's been happening here. But don't panic. We spent most of the week in our house. There have been some crazy scary shootings. And 1 bomb. But I am safe. They make sure we´re safe. Don't worry. Not going to lie, it was one of the more scary weeks I have had, but I'm alive.
In relation to the shootings, I have a spiritual experience. One of the days, we were in the street visiting one of our investigators. My companion said we needed to go visit someone else on that street. He is not a member, but his wife is. So, we went. He doesn't want to change, he likes his beer and "freedom." So, after we were confused why we had felt the need to go there. So, we continued walking, and we decided to go to a different investigators house, but we took a different route than usual. We were walking past the Bishop's house, and his wife told us to get in her house right now. So, we did. She explained there had been another shooting, right near our house. The shooters drove on the street we were on while we were in the house talking to the man. and then they had gone on the other street we normally go on. God protected us. I am so grateful we are living worthy to listen to the spirit and followed the promptings.
As I said, we spent a LOT of time in our house. Like, a ton. Just my companion and I. No one could come in, and we couldn´t go out. I found a love for cleaning our apartment. Because it helped me not think of what was happening in the world outside.
Sorry, its a little short today, we have changes (transfers). And I'm moving. I'm still in the same ward though, so that's nice. My new companion is one of the oldest (age and mission). She scares me a little.... But it will be great. Love you all and hope your studies of Preach My Gospel are coming along nicely. LOVES!!!!!!!!
